Hi, my name is
Cloud-native and DevOps-focused Computer Engineering student experienced in building CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and scalable AWS-based systems. Actively contributing to open source and interested in cloud-native technologies.
Hello! I'm Obaid, a Cloud-native and DevOps-focused Computer Engineering student at IET DAVV, Indore. I'm passionate about building automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable cloud systems.
My journey into tech has been driven by a deep interest in open-source collaboration, cloud-native architectures, and developer tooling. I enjoy contributing to projects that make developer workflows better and writing technical documentation that helps others learn.
I've contributed to open-source organizations like CCExtractor, Kyverno, Meshery, and PipeCD, and I actively build projects that showcase real-world DevOps practices — from Docker-based CI/CD pipelines to serverless AWS architectures.
Automated Docker-based CI/CD pipeline to build, test, and deploy a Node.js application to AWS EC2 using GitHub Actions. Reduced deployment time from ~20 minutes to under 3 minutes through fully automated workflows.
Designed and deployed a serverless lead processing system using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB. Implemented event-driven workflow with automated email notifications via AWS SES.
Developed a full-stack expense tracking application with REST APIs and PostgreSQL. Deployed backend on AWS EC2 with Linux server configuration. Focused on backend performance and efficient data handling.
An interactive quiz application built with vanilla JavaScript. Features dynamic question rendering, score tracking, and a clean user interface for an engaging quiz-taking experience.
Created structured documentation and learning resources covering cloud-native technologies, open-source workflows, contributor practices, and DevOps concepts. Organized in a contributor-friendly format to improve accessibility for new learners.
I believe in the power of open source to drive innovation and community growth. I actively contribute to projects that align with my interests in cloud-native tooling, developer experience, and technical documentation.
Contributed documentation improvements and bug fixes including memory safety improvements and C parser fixes. Submitted pull requests and collaborated with maintainers through GitHub discussions and review workflows.
Contributed pull requests covering webhooks, policy generation, documentation improvements, test coverage, and performance bug fixes. Gained experience working with large-scale Kubernetes tooling codebases.
Contributed to Meshery, a cloud-native management platform. Submitted pull requests for improvements and collaborated with the community on issues related to service mesh tooling and cloud-native infrastructure.
Contributed to PipeCD, a continuous delivery platform for declarative Kubernetes, serverless, and infrastructure applications. Worked on documentation and improvements to enhance the developer experience.
I've also created a structured learning hub documenting my open-source journey, covering cloud-native concepts, CI/CD workflows, contributor practices, and more.

I love watching anime — the first anime that got me invested was "Attack On Titan". Here are my top 3 favourites:
High School DxD
Solo Leveling
Demon Slayer
I love watching football, specially the Premier League — the best league in the world. I support Liverpool FC.
Liverpool FC — You'll Never Walk Alone
Although I don't travel much, I love to travel way more than I currently do. My dream destination is Japan — for the anime culture, technology, and beautiful landscapes.
I'm currently looking for internship opportunities in DevOps and Cloud Engineering. Whether you have a question, a project idea, or just want to say hello — my inbox is always open!
